There are thousands of different companies providing work at home jobs, but by far the highest paying ones are the Order Processing Companies. Here’s how they work. First a customer watching t.v. or listening to the radio hears an advertisement for a product that they want.  These ads usually contain a phone number which can be called to order the product. So, the customer decides to pick up the phone and call. This is where we as agents come in. Our phone will ring, and a script will pop-up on our computer screen. All we have to do then is read the script over the phone to the customer, and process the customer’s order (basically get their address and payment info.) That’s all there is to it. These order processing companies usually pay by hour on the phone, and the schedule is extremely flexible, as agents can schedule to take calls at pretty much any time of the day, usually in 30 to 60 minute blocks.

But, is this the right job for you?

This job is perfect for you if:

• You love talking to other people.
• You are friendly, able to think quickly and reliable.
• You can stay composed even if the customer is the rudest, most obnoxious person in the world.

Here are some requirements for these jobs:

• Absolutely no background noise! This means no babies crying, no dogs barking, etc. These companies are usually very strict about this.
• You will need an additional phone line only to be used for taking orders. (Basically, they do not want you getting calls from friends or relatives while you are working.
• You will need a phone without an answering machine, no call waiting, no hold. (Pretty much one with no additional functions.)
• At least be able to work once a week, if not more.
